Madrid Legend Arbeloa Begins New Era with Los Blancos

Real Madrid have officially appointed club legend Alvaro Arbeloa as the new head coach of their reserve team, Castilla for the 2025 / 2026 season.

Raul Steps Down, Arbeloa Steps Up

The announcement comes just day after Raul Gonzalez stepped down from the role ending 6 year spell at the helm of Castilla. Arbeloa who'd been coaching the club's U19 team, has now been promoted to take over the reins.

Official Statement

"Real Madrid C.F announces that Alvaro Arbeloa will be the head coach of Real Madrid Castilla for the 2025 / 2026 season" the club stated on its website.

From the Pitch to the Dugout

Arbeloa brings wealth of experience to the role. He played 66 Premier League game with Liverpool before returning to Real Madrid in 2009 where he went on to win la liga and 2 Champions league titles.

Internationally he earned 56 caps for Spain and was part of the historic squads that won the 2010 fifa World cup and the european championships in 2008 & 2012.

The move marks new chapter for Arbeloa as he looks to shape the next generation of Real Madrid talent.
