Manchester City: John Stones set for a free transfer?

After nearly a decade at Manchester City, John Stones could be on the verge of turning the page. The English centre-back, whose contract expires this summer, is reportedly on Bayern Munich’s radar, according to Caught Offside.

Arriving from Everton in 2016, Stones has played 290 matches in City colours, scoring 19 goals and providing 9 assists. Now 31, the England international has reached a pivotal moment in his career. If no extension is agreed, he could leave the club on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling.

Bayern Munich are closely monitoring his situation and are considering a move to strengthen their back line. The Bundesliga leaders, currently six points ahead of Borussia Dortmund, are already planning for the future and could seize this opportunity in the transfer market.
