Paris Saint-Germain has finalized its first summer transfer target to bolster its squad at the end of the current season.

According to the transfer-focused site "Fichajes", the Parisian club has decided to sign Portuguese international midfielder Bernardo Silva, who is currently contracted with Manchester City. The transfer is expected to be completed during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The same source states that PSG's management, led by president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, has reached a preliminary personal agreement with the Portuguese player for a move in the summer transfer market. The deal is reportedly valued at around 50 million euros.

Bernardo Silva's statistics this season with Manchester City

The 30-year-old midfielder has decided to leave Manchester City at the end of this season due to the team's inconsistent performances this year.

This season, Bernardo Silva has played 37 matches for the Citizens across all competitions, but has only scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.

It is noteworthy that Silva's contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the 2025-2026 season, having joined the English club in 2017 from AS Monaco. Since his arrival, he has contributed to the 14 titles won by the Sky Blues, including the prestigious Champions League in 2023.
