Mbappé Demands £47M in Unpaid Wages from PSG Amid Explosive Dispute
The relationship between Kylian Mbappé and his former club Paris Saint Germain has taken dramatic turn with the French star demanding 47 million pound sterling in unpaid wages and bonuses from the Ligue 1 champions according to reports from the Mirror.
Despite being PSG’s all time top scorer and six time Ligue 1 champion, Mbappé’s exit to Real Madrid this summer on free transfer has sparked unprecedented tensions between the player and the club.
Dispute Over Loyalty Bonus & Final Payments
At the heart of the conflict is PSG’s alleged failure to pay Mbappé his earnings for the final three months of his contract, along with the last 3rd of loyalty bonus previously agreed in his deal.
Although French league appeals committee ruled in Oct that PSG must pay the overdue amount, the club's yet to comply pushing Mbappé’s legal team to escalate the issue further.
UEFA Complaint Filed
Mbappé’s lawyers have now filed formal complaint with UEFA calling for PSG to be banned from the UEFA Champions League next season unless the outstanding payment is made.
The legal team believes that this pressure could force the Parisian club to act quickly to protect its european reputation & eligibility.
