Mercato: Karl Toko-Ekambi set for Ligue 1 comeback?
Karl Toko-Ekambi

Now a free agent since July 1, 2025, following the end of his contract with Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, Karl Toko-Ekambi could be primed for a major return to Ligue 1.

According to Africafoot, the Cameroon international striker is attracting interest from several clubs, including his boyhood club, Paris FC. Talks are reportedly well advanced between Paris FC, newly promoted to Ligue 1 this season, the player, and his representatives.

The Parisian club is looking to bolster its squad with experienced players in hopes of staying up and making an impact in the top flight. A two-year contract offer, with an option for a third year, is said to already be on the table.

Having come through the ranks at Paris FC before moving to Sochaux in 2014 for a €400,000 transfer fee, Karl Toko-Ekambi knows the club well. Valued at €2 million by Transfermarkt, Toko-Ekambi remains an appealing option on the transfer market. A return to Paris FC could give him a chance to reignite his career in familiar surroundings.
