Mercato: Kudus targeted by a major European club!
Ghana international Mohammed Kudus, 24, is on the verge of leaving West Ham United, where he has played since last summer. Several top European clubs are vying for his signature, and Liverpool appear determined to make a move.
According to English outlet Anfield Watch, which is close to the Merseyside club, the Reds are closely monitoring the Black Stars midfielder. His versatility, technical ability, and seamless integration into the London dressing room make him a top priority target.
Since the start of the season, Kudus has been deployed in five different positions by his manager:
- 9 matches as a left winger
- 7 as a centre forward
- 6 as a number 10
- 6 as a right winger
- 4 as a central midfielder
A smart deal in the works for the Reds?
Also according to Anfield Watch, Liverpool could table an offer including goalkeeper CaoimhÃn Kelleher, valued at £40 million, to reduce the cost of Kudus' transfer. This swap deal would allow the Reds to land the Ghanaian international for just an additional £10 million.
As a reminder, Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax Amsterdam for €43 million. He is under contract with the London club until June 2028.
