Mercato: Reda Slim set to join Moroccan powerhouse
Reda Slim

Reda Slim's stint with Al Ahly is coming to an end after just two seasons. The Moroccan winger, who joined the Egyptian giants in 2023 from Morocco, already has his sights set elsewhere. At 25, Slim is eager to return to the club where he first made his mark in professional football.

Although under contract with Al Ahly until June 2027, Reda Slim is on the verge of making his comeback to AS FAR Rabat. After two years, he’s found himself struggling for game time at Al Ahly, making only 9 appearances across all competitions last season. In search of more minutes on the pitch, Slim has decided to move on and has already received the green light from the Egyptian club.

Pursued by Wydad Casablanca, RS Berkane, and Raja Casablanca, Slim has chosen to prioritize a return to Rabat—a familiar environment for him. It was at AS FAR Rabat that he launched his professional career in 2019 before heading to Egypt in 2023. This move signals a fresh start for Reda Slim, who hopes to get back on the pitch regularly and reignite his career. An agreement has reportedly been reached for a one-year loan to AS FAR, with an option to buy.
