Kasel salvaged some pride for Egypt with a goal in the 71st minute. The match ended 3-1 to Malawi, giving them the maximum 6 points from 6 and a confirmed spot in the quarterfinals.

Nigeria delivers a statement performance

After their loss to Malawi, Nigeria needed to respond against Zambia. Asisat Oshoala opened the scoring in the 8th minute. But a major blow came in the 41st, as Blessing Demehin was shown a second yellow and sent off. Down to ten players for over an hour, the Super Falcons defended with remarkable discipline. Goalkeeper Nnadozie was crucial. The Super Falcons held on for a 1-0 win, securing 3 vital points and reigniting their pursuit of a record tenth African crown.
