Mercato: Saudi Arabia pushes for Lionel Messi

Saudi Arabia clearly isn't giving up on Lionel Messi just yet. Another Saudi club is making a strong push to convince the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Saudi Arabia hasn't closed the book on Lionel Messi. After leaving PSG in the summer of 2023, the Argentine could once again become a free agent as early as December. This reignites speculation about a potential move to the Saudi Pro League for the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner.

According to information from L’Équipe, it is Al-Ahli, winners of the Asian Champions League, who are considering signing Lionel Messi this summer. Inter Miami, meanwhile, is keen to keep Messi to continue their title challenge in Major League Soccer.

Whether he stays or goes, after just two seasons in the United States, Messi has already become Inter Miami's all-time top scorer with 52 goals in total.
