It's now official: Lionel Messi is teaming up with Luis Suarez in an ambitious youth development club project in Uruguay. This week, Suarez announced that his friend and current Inter Miami teammate will be joining Deportivo LSM, a multi-sport structure dedicated to nurturing young talent.

Founded in 2018 by the former Uruguayan striker, Deportivo LSM is based in Ciudad de la Costa, near Montevideo, and now boasts over 3,000 members.

The club, which will compete in the fourth division and youth categories of the Uruguayan championship, aims to promote an educational and technical approach to sport.

Messi: "It's an honor"

In a video shared on social media, Suarez expressed his excitement: "This project represents our vision of football, which is why I invited my friend Leo to join this adventure."

Messi, beaming with pride, replied with emotion: "It's an honor to be part of this initiative alongside you. Thank you for your trust—I hope to help drive the growth of this wonderful project." Preview:

The two South American legends are now joining forces off the pitch, committed to shaping the next generation of talent.
