Miguel Reisinho remains unattached after Sundowns exit
Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Miguel Reisinho is still searching for a new club after parting ways with the Brazilians via mutual agreement at the end of last season.
The 27-year-old ex-Portugal youth international spent one season at Chloorkop, having arrived as a free agent in September 2025 after terminating his deal with Boavista in his native country.
He made 14 appearances across all competitions for Sundowns, scoring two goals with a solitary assist, and won the prestigious CAF Champions League title in his sole campaign in Africa.
With Sundowns having played over 50 matches last term, Reisinho took issue with his lack of game time under his compatriot Miguel Cardoso, amid rife competition in the Downs midfield.
Sources have indicated that Reisinho rebuffed interest from the Middle East, with teams from the Saudi Pro League and the Qatari Stars League said to have been keen on signing him.
Reisinho was also linked with a move to Botola Pro League giants Raja Club Athletic, but no deal materialized, as the two parties reportedly failed to reach total agreement on personal terms.
It's understood that the player's main preference is to return to the Liga Portugal, as he spent a large chunk of his career in his homeland before leaving for the first time when he joined Sundowns.
Having accumulated vast experience in 122 matches coupled with 11 goals and five assists, the utility player undoubtedly presents a perfect market opportunity as a free agent.
