AC Milan may have faced an initial setback in their pursuit of Guela Doué, but the Lombard club isn't backing down just yet.

According to multiple sources, including Fabrizio Romano, the Rossoneri have submitted a €15 million offer to Strasbourg for the Ivorian right-back. The Alsatian club, however, immediately turned down the proposal, setting their asking price at €35 million.

Having joined from Rennes last summer, Guela Doué (22) featured in 32 Ligue 1 matches this season, scoring once and providing two assists. He quickly established himself as a reliable starter on the right flank. The elder brother of PSG’s rising star Désiré Doué, Guela is attracting plenty of interest. Alongside AC Milan, both Chelsea and Eintracht Frankfurt are keeping tabs on him.

But it's Milan who appear to be the most persistent. With Kyle Walker and Davide Calabria both departing, and Emerson Royal on the verge of an exit, the Rossoneri are actively seeking a new right-back. Doué, known for his pace and potential, ticks every box. He remains under contract with Strasbourg until 2029.
