MLS Beckons: Benzema Lays Groundwork for U.S. Move
Karim Benzema could be headed for Major League Soccer. According to the New York Post, the French striker has begun the process to secure move to the United States ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Visa Talks Already Underway
Reports reveal that Benzema's hired top immigration lawyer Michael Wildes in New York to help obtain P1 visa , a category reserved for internationally recognized athletes. The same visa was used by Olivier Giroud before he joined LAFC.
No Official Statement Yet
Despite the growing speculation, Benzema 37, has yet to make any public comments regarding his future.
Contract Situation with Al Ittihad
Benzema joined Saudi giants Al Ittihad in the summer of 2023 after leaving Real Madrid. His current deal runs until mid 2026 but he’ll be eligible to negotiate with other clubs as early as Jan 2026.
