The 25-year-old forward needed just 30 minutes to change the course of the game. Coming on after the break, the San Jose Earthquakes winger scored the only goal of the match against the Los Angeles Galaxy (1-0) in a hard-fought Major League Soccer clash this Thursday.

The goal was the result of a well-executed team move. Bouda read the play perfectly, making an explosive run into the box. He pounced to clinically side-foot home a driven cross from the right flank, leaving the California goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

This 60th-minute goal gives San Jose a much-needed boost in a tightly contested league campaign. It also helps Bouda, who had gone six matches without scoring, regain his confidence ahead of international duties.
