Moatasem Al-Musrati and Monaco, it's over

The Moatasem Al-Musrati adventure on the Rock has already come to an end. Arriving last January from Beşiktaş on a loan deal with an option to buy, the Libyan midfielder will not be continuing his journey with AS Monaco.

In an official statement, the Principality club confirmed the end of the 29-year-old international’s loan spell. Despite his brief stint, Moatasem Al-Musrati managed to make his mark. Used shrewdly by the Monaco coaching staff, he played a key role in the team’s strong finish to the season, which culminated in yet another Champions League qualification.

But it wasn’t enough. The option to buy was not exercised. The player, under contract with Beşiktaş until June 2027, will therefore return to Turkey this summer.
