Mohamed Belhadj Mahmoud on RC Lens' radar

Mohamed Belhadj Mahmoud has caught the serious attention of RC Lens. The northern French club is closely monitoring the Tunisian defensive midfielder from FC Lugano and could make a move this summer.

At 25 years old, the player who came up through Étoile du Sahel has established himself as a key figure for the Swiss side. Strong and consistent, he has played 42 matches across all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist. That’s an impressive stat line for a player with a defensive profile.

Under contract with Lugano until June 2026, Belhadj Mahmoud won’t come cheap. But his versatility and work rate have won over the Blood and Gold, who are always on the lookout for opportunities to strengthen their squad. The Artois club could ramp up talks in the coming weeks, especially if a key midfielder leaves Bollaert.
