The tug-of-war between Morocco and France – or sometimes between Morocco and Spain – is a recurring battle to persuade young dual-national talents to pledge their allegiance to one national team over another.

In this ongoing saga, a new contest is brewing around Elyas Azizi, the promising youngster from Toulouse FC, while both federations ( RMFF / FFF ) are also vying for Ayoub Bouaddi, the LOSC prodigy.

  • Born on April 13, 2008 in Toulouse (17 years old), he plays as a forward.
  • He started his youth career at FC Fonbeauzard (2014-2019), before joining the Toulouse FC academy in 2019.
  • He has 10 caps with the France U16 team (2 goals), as well as 3 appearances for the U17 squad (1 goal).
  • He was recently called up by Toulouse’s first-team coach, Carles Martinez, to be part of the matchday squad against Stade Rennais this Saturday.
