Naples: Antonio Conte set to leave, Allegri to take over

Just 24 hours after leading Napoli to the top of Serie A, Antonio Conte could already be packing his bags. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, a journalist with deep connections inside Italian football, a split between Conte and the Neapolitan club is imminent.

A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday between both parties, but as the Sky Sports Italia expert notes, "the feeling is only going one way." This won’t be a heated breakup, but rather an amicable parting of ways.

And already, one name is being strongly linked as his successor: Massimiliano Allegri. The former Juventus coach, recently released from his duties in Turin, is reportedly the top choice of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
