Nasser Al-Khelaïfi makes history at PSG!
The Qatari businessman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has etched his name into history by becoming the longest-serving president in the history of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Having held the presidency of the Parisian club for 13 years, 4 months, and 23 days, Al-Khelaïfi has surpassed the previous record held by Frenchman Francis Borelli, who led the club from 1978 to 1991 for 13 years, 4 months, and 22 days.
Charles Villeneuve praises Al-Khelaïfi's achievements with PSG
In an interview with RMC, French journalist Charles Villeneuve praised the role played by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi in managing PSG, stating:
“If he has truly imposed PSG's power in the League, it's great because PSG's success enhances Ligue 1.”
He added: "No one knows the ins and outs of PSG management better than Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, as he handles every aspect of the club, including the complex facets and rumors surrounding it. As for me, I am well aware of the atmosphere that surrounds managing a club of this magnitude."
He continued: “Since taking office in 2011, PSG has undergone a true transformation at all levels, both in terms of national titles and on the international stage. Under his leadership, the club has become the dominant force in French football and one of the most influential clubs in Europe.”
He added: "Nasser Al-Khelaïfi's first decision was to make Paris Saint-Germain a coveted destination for the world's best players and to give the club an international dimension. The proof? A few weeks ago, I was in Mexico and saw a match between PSG and Lyon broadcast on television in my hotel room."
He continued: "This proves that the club is now recognized worldwide, especially after their qualification against Liverpool. None of this would have been possible without Nasser's hard work and patience, despite the obstacles and criticism he has faced."
He concluded: “Moreover, he has built a world-class training center, so PSG has nothing to envy of the biggest English clubs. He has elevated the club's stature internationally while preserving its core values. In the end, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is a quiet force... It's Nasser.”
