Neymar Turns Down Club World Cup Offer from Brazilian Giants

Brazilian icon Neymar Jr's confirmed that he rejected serious offer to join Fluminense ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World cup choosing instead to focus on his recovery.

"Not the Right Time"

Speaking during promotional event early Wednesday, the Santos FC forward admitted:

"I was very close to joining Fluminense and taking part in the Club World cup but it wasn’t the right move at this time"

Fitness First for Neymar

The former PSG & Barcelona star said his priority's full recovery:

"I want to return in top form. That’s why I decided to stay focused on rehab and avoid big competitions for now"

Back to Roots

Neymar rejoined Santos, his boyhood club, in Jan after season and a half stint with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia following his move from Paris Saint Germain in 2023.
