Obinna Nwobodo extends contract with FC Cincinnati

FC Cincinnati has officially announced the contract extension of their Nigerian midfielder, Obinna Nwobodo. The 2015 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations winner is now tied to the Major League Soccer club until 2027, with an option for an additional year.

Since arriving in 2022, Obinna Nwobodo has established himself as a cornerstone in the midfield. Vital in ball recovery and active in building play, he embodies the team's balance. While his influence goes far beyond the stats sheet, his 2 goals and 7 assists in 117 appearances speak to a rare consistency.

This extension is part of FC Cincinnati’s strategy to build on a solid foundation. The Nigerian, known for his commitment and tactical discipline, remains a key figure in Pat Noonan’s plans. At 28, Obinna Nwobodo continues his MLS journey.
