OFFICIAL: Kaizer Chiefs announce the signing of Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from Azam FC!

The first player in history to wear the black and gold jersey, 27-year-old Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko is the new player for Kaizer Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs completes its third signing for next season!

His signing follows the arrivals of Thabo Moloisane from Stellenbosch FC and Renaldo Leaner from Sekhukhune United.

Kaizer Chiefs confirmed in an official statement that the transfer was finalized following productive negotiations between the two clubs.

"Kaizer Chiefs have secured the services of Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from Tanzanian giants Azam FC for an undisclosed fee, after successful talks between the two Clubs," the statement read.

The club also highlighted that the experienced midfielder, who captained Azam FC, now makes history as the first Tanzanian player to represent Amakhosi.

"The 27-year-old defensive midfielder, who wore the captain's armband at Azam, becomes the first Tanzanian to join Amakhosi. His arrival adds to an impressive list of players from over 20 different African nations who have donned the famous Gold & Black jersey."\

Mtasingwa brings a wealth of experience to Naturena, having spent six seasons across Iceland, Norway, and Finland before returning to Tanzania in 2024.

Last season, he helped Azam FC secure a third-place finish in the Tanzanian Premier League. He has also served as vice-captain of the Tanzania national team.

"Mtasingwa brings valuable experience, having spent six seasons in Scandinavia competing in the Icelandic, Norwegian, and Finnish leagues. He returned home in 2024 and played a key role in helping Azam FC finish third in the Tanzanian league last season."

Kaizer Chiefs concluded by warmly welcoming their newest addition.
