Official: Othmane Maamma signs with Watford

The young Moroccan talent Othmane Maamma is now officially a player for the English club Watford. He will compete in the Championship, England’s second division.

Still under contract with Montpellier until 2027, Othmane Maamma has officially left the Hérault club. After wrapping up his second Ligue 1 season with 1 goal and 1 assist in 12 appearances, the young Moroccan winger has, as expected, joined Watford this Friday, July 11, 2025.

"Watford has completed the signing of Montpellier forward Othmane Maamma, aged 19. The striker arrives at Vicarage Road for an undisclosed fee, with the young Moroccan international penning a four-year deal," the English club announced in their official statement.
