Official: Oumar Konaté joins AS Monaco
AS Monaco has officially announced the signing of Oumar Konaté. The young Ivorian is just 18 years old.
As of this Wednesday, July 9, Oumar Konaté is now tied to AS Monaco. The Ivorian U20 international striker has signed his first professional contract with the Principality club.
Hailing from Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Oumar Konaté joins the Red & White from Sol FC d’Abobo, the club where he developed his skills. He made several appearances for their first team in the Ivorian top flight, scoring one goal.
A forward who can play out wide, Oumar Konaté is also an U20 international with Côte d’Ivoire. In 2024, alongside Valy Konaté, he made his mark at the Maurice Revello Tournament by providing an assist against France and then scoring against Mexico. His performances were key to the Ivorians’ impressive run to the final, where they faced Ukraine.
