Official: Reda Laalaoui joins Hull City
Reda Laalaoui has officially joined Hull City, the English Championship side, this Thursday, June 12, 2025. The Moroccan midfielder leaves FUS Rabat to embark on an ambitious project in England.
Rumors about Laalaoui's departure for a first European adventure had been circulating for several weeks. Now, it’s a done deal. The transfer was confirmed today by the English club itself in a public statement.
"Hull City is delighted to announce the signing of Moroccan midfielder Reda Laalaoui from Fath Union Sport for an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old box-to-box midfielder, who can also play in attack, has signed a four-year contract, with an option for a further year," the statement read.

After making a name for himself in Morocco’s Botola Pro and at the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, Reda Laalaoui is set to make his European debut next season, specifically in the Championship. It’s a challenge he’s preparing for with great enthusiasm.
"I am very happy to join Hull City. It’s a historic club in England and I can’t wait to help the team and make the fans happy. This is a very well-known team in England and one of my dreams was to play here. As you know, it’s one of the best leagues in the world and I’m here to improve myself, which is important for my development," he said.
