Official Soon: Zamalek Secure El Berkaoui from Al Raed


Zamalek've reportedly finalized the signing of Moroccan forward Karim El Berkaoui from Saudi side Al Raed, in free transfer ahead of the summer 2025 window according to Egyptian media.
Agreement Reached, Announcement Imminent
Report confirmed that the club's reached full agreement with El Berkaoui 29, after approval from the club's planning committee.
The deal comes as free transfer following the expiry of his contract with Al Raed and official announcement's expected within hours.
Proven Goal Scorer
El Berkaoui joined Al Raed in 2020 from Hassania Agadir and has since scored 61 goal and provided 7 assist in 127 appearances.
He also featured in four matches for Morocco including the Arab Cup.
Second Al Raed Player on Zamalek’s Radar
According to Asharq Al Awsat, Zamalek have also agreed terms with El Berkaoui’s teammate Yousri Bouzok the Algerian winger who joined Al Raed in Jan 2024.
Transfer Ban Still in Place
Despite finalizing these deals, Zamalek remain under fifa registration ban for failing to pay dues to former striker Khalid Boutaib. The club hopes to resolve the issue in time to officially register its new signings.
Al Raed on Brink of Relegation
Al Raed currently sit bottom of the Saudi Pro League with just 21 point which's accelerated the exodus of players including El Berkaoui.
