The Senegal Premier League season reached its dramatic climax on Thursday, June 4. After a relentless race and nerve-wracking suspense, Teungueth FC rose to the summit of Senegalese football with a narrow 1-0 victory over Guédiawaye FC.

A long-distance showdown that will be remembered for years to come. To secure the Senegalese championship, league leaders Teungueth FC had no room for error in this 30th round. They got the job done with clinical efficiency, edging Guédiawaye FC 1-0. Meanwhile, their runner-up and neighbor, AJEL Rufisque, did everything in their power, securing a 1-0 win against Génération Foot.

Thanks to a rock-solid defense—conceding just 6 goals—the club celebrates its third national title and secures a ticket to the CAF Champions League. The mastermind behind this achievement is Malick Daf, who made history by winning back-to-back league titles with two different clubs. Last season, he guided Jaraaf Dakar to the summit of Senegal at the age of 57.
