Cameroon: David Pagou unveils his squad for the international break

David Pagou has unveiled the list of 28 players called up for Cameroon’s two matches against Namibia, scheduled for November 12 and 16, 2026. The Indomitable Lions head coach has notably recalled Enzo Ebosse and handed a first senior call-up to youngster Ivan Nana.

Cameroon are preparing for their next two matches in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. For these fixtures, which count towards matchdays three and four, David Pagou has selected 28 players. The Indomitable Lions will face Namibia on November 12 before meeting the same opponents again on November 16.

The squad includes several players competing in European leagues, as well as others from the Cameroonian championship. The head coach is relying on a group combining international experience with new faces for these two matches.

Enzo Ebosse returns as Ivan Nana discovers the national team

One of the main points to emerge from this squad is Enzo Ebosse’s return to the national team. The Udinese defender had not been called up to the Indomitable Lions since the 2022 World Cup. His return gives David Pagou an additional option in defence.

Another newcomer is 19-year-old Ivan Nana, who has received his first senior call-up. The captain of Cameroon’s youth teams joins the squad after winning the Union of Central African Football Federations (UNIFFAC) tournament with the U20s.

Jean Hughes Eyango Priso is also among the selected players. The Colombe Sportive du Dja forward notably impressed by scoring twice against Teungueth FC.

The matches against Namibia represent an important appointment for the Indomitable Lions in their qualifying campaign. David Pagou will have to prepare his team for two closely spaced fixtures, with the aim of securing favourable results.

The squad includes Bryan Mbeumo, Carlos Baleba, Arthur Avom, Danny Namaso and Darlin Yongwa. The domestic-based players, including Jean Hughes Eyango Priso and goalkeeper Sombang A Menang Edouard, will also have the opportunity to stake their claim within the national team.
