Cameroon: five new faces in the Indomitable Lions squad
David Pagou has selected five new players for the November 2026 FIFA window. Karl Wassom, Patrick Nkoa Amougou, Yvan Nana, Eyango Priso and Geovanni Vianney are discovering Cameroon’s national team.
The list of 28 players called up by David Pagou for the two matches against Namibia includes several new faces. Five players have received their first call-up to the Indomitable Lions for the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Karl Wassom, a midfielder with Riga FC in Latvia, is among the new call-ups. He is joined by Patrick Nkoa Amougou, who plays for RAAL La Louvière in Belgium.
The squad also welcomes Yvan Nana, who has been announced as an Al Hilal player in Sudan. The young player thus joins the national team for this international window.
Eyango Priso and Geovanni Vianney rewarded
Club performances have also opened the door to the national team for Eyango Priso. The Colombe Sportive du Dja striker was selected after notably scoring twice against Teungueth FC.
Geovanni Vianney, a player for FC Copenhagen in Denmark, completes the list of five new call-ups. These first call-ups illustrate David Pagou’s choices as he seeks to broaden the options at his disposal.
Cameroon will face Namibia on November 12, 2026, before the return match scheduled for November 16. The Indomitable Lions will seek to make the most of these two encounters in their bid to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
With these five new players, David Pagou gives his squad new options, while it remains to be seen how these players will integrate into the national team.
