Clásico: FC Barcelona players given time off after defeat
Hansi Flick has decided to give his players a few days off. This comes in particular after the defeat to Real Madrid in Sunday's Clásico (1-2).
Following FC Barcelona's defeat to Real Madrid in the Clásico (2-1), Hansi Flick understandably looked downcast at the press conference. “We are not happy. We are disappointed,” he said coldly.
Flick still expects progress
Speaking to the press, Hansi Flick explained that his team still has progress to make. The former Germany manager said that his players would be given two days off.
“You only see the matches, but we spent three hours on the plane in Seville (which did not take off, ed.), we had to go back to the hotel and then travel to Paris. It is a lot. I do not want to talk about that when we lose; these are not excuses. But we are not fresh, and we have to change that. The players will have two days off after tomorrow's training session. I want everyone to be in shape and make the right decisions regarding their diet, sleep and recovery,” the German explained.
