Official: The final FIFA ranking of 2024 revealed!

The final FIFA ranking for the year 2024, announced this Thursday, December 19, showed limited changes among African teams. Notably, Gambia climbed one spot to reach 125th in the world, while the Comoros held steady at 103rd.

Additionally, Angola achieved a historic feat by remaining in 85th place in the world for the second consecutive time, after starting the year ranked 117th.

Morocco finished 2024 as Africa's top-ranked side, coming in 14th globally, followed by Senegal, who are 17th in the world and second in Africa. Egypt sits third on the continent and 33rd worldwide, while Algeria is fourth in Africa, 37th globally.

Nigeria rounds out the top five in Africa at 44th in the world, and Ivory Coast is sixth in Africa and 46th worldwide.
