The first half of the Premier League clash between Arsenal & Manchester City ended 1-1 on Sunday 19 April after an intense and fast-paced opening 45 minute at the Etihad Stadium.

Rayan Cherki gave City the lead before Kai Havertz responded quickly for Arsenal in a game already carrying major title implications.

Cherki breaks through early for City

Manchester City started with purpose and found the breakthrough in the 16 minute. Rayan Cherki produced a standout moment driving through the Arsenal defence before finishing calmly to give the hosts the lead.

The goal reflected City’s early control, with Pep Guardiola’s side enjoying spells of possession and pushing Arsenal back during the opening stages.

Arsenal respond immediately through Havertz

Arsenal’s reaction was immediate. Just minutes after conceding, Kai Havertz capitalised on a costly mistake from City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The German forward pressed aggressively and the ball ricocheted into the net following a block challenge bringing Arsenal level and shifting the momentum of the game.
