Orlando Pirates in special competition with continental giants for "special star"
According to reports, Orlando Pirates are in an advanced position to sign one of the best wingers currently on the African market and in South Africa in particular, AmaZulu winger Tshepang Moremi.
The 24-year-old winger is highly sought after by the Orlando Pirates' biggest rivals, the Chiefs, but press sources close to the Buccaneers have confirmed that the Pirates have secured a three-year deal with AmaZulu.
With the Buccaneers set to lose a number of their stars in the current and upcoming transfer window, including Relebohile Mofokeng, it will be necessary to sign some other names to compensate for the shortfall.
Orlando Pirates sign talented star
The Buccaneers appear to have pulled off a major coup in the transfer market, with sources confirming that talented winger Moremi is on the verge of completing a switch to Orlando Pirates. Despite reported interest from Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs and reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns, the Sea Robbers have reportedly won the race for the highly-rated attacker.

A well-placed insider revealed to Soccer Laduma that negotiations have reached an advanced stage, describing the deal as "virtually finalized." The agreement is said to include a three-year contract, with all personal terms between the player and the club already ironed out.
Meanwhile, uncertainty surrounds the future of Pirates' fan favorite Monnapule Saleng. The 27-year-old winger has mysteriously disappeared from matchday squads since December, fueling speculation about an imminent departure from the Houghton-based outfit. With Moremi's arrival seemingly confirmed, Saleng's exit could mark the end of an era for one of the Buccaneers' most exciting attacking talents in recent seasons.
