Ousmane Diomande: Arsenal still believes

Arsenal is not giving up on Ousmane Diomande. According to the Portuguese daily Record, Gunners scouts were present last weekend at the Estádio da Luz to witness the clash between Benfica and Sporting CP. Their mission was clear: closely monitor the Ivorian centre-back’s performance.

After a rock-solid season with Sporting (30 league appearances and 2 goals), Ousmane Diomande is attracting the attention of Europe’s top clubs. And Arsenal, who already showed interest last winter, seem determined to make a move this summer. A formal offer could be submitted in the coming weeks.

The 21-year-old is under contract until June 2027. His release clause is reportedly set at €80 million. That’s a hefty sum, but it doesn’t seem to deter the London club’s management, who are eager to bolster their backline with a young, athletic, and highly promising profile.
