Pape Daouda Diong is on the verge of a loan move to Dunkerque in Ligue 2. This deal, expected to be finalized in the coming days, should offer the RC Strasbourg midfielder consistent playing time and the ideal environment to bounce back.

Having joined Strasbourg last summer from the Darou Salam Academy, Pape Diong is now on the list of players set for a temporary departure. Talks between the Alsatian club and Dunkerque are reportedly at an advanced stage, with an agreement in sight. The deal is said to include a clause guaranteeing playing time for the Senegal U20 international.

During the 2024/25 season, Pape Daouda Diong made nine (9) Ligue 1 appearances for Strasbourg, scoring once. The rest of the time, the 19-year-old featured with the reserve team in National 3.
