Premier League: Yoane Wissa powers to 19!

Yoane Wissa has struck again! With his 19th goal and 5th assist in the Premier League this season, the Congolese international once again shone on Sunday. However, his individual brilliance wasn’t enough to prevent Brentford from suffering a home defeat against Fulham (2-3) in the penultimate round of the league.

Starting from the first whistle, the talented Leopard made an impact as early as the 22nd minute, providing an assist for his Cameroonian teammate Bryan Mbeumo to level the score for the Bees.

Then, just before halftime, Wissa found the net again, outsmarting the Cottagers’ defense to put his team ahead. It was a goal full of composure and power, perfectly encapsulating his season. Video:

Unfortunately for the Kinshasa native, the tide turned after the break. Brentford, having led, were overturned by Fulham and suffered a frustrating home defeat.

With 55 points and a provisional 8th place, the Red and Whites see their European hopes slip away.

So, despite Yoane Wissa’s dazzling form, Brentford will not see European competition in 2025.
