As rumors swirl around a potential departure of Fiston Mayele, Pyramids FC appear to have already identified a possible replacement for the Congolese striker.

Having joined from Yanga SC in 2023, Fiston Mayele could leave Egypt as soon as this summer. Closely followed by Nasreddine Nabi—now head coach of the Kaizer Chiefs—the 31-year-old Congolese international is also attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia. The Egyptian club has reportedly set his price tag at $4 million.

Anticipating a possible exit, Osama Faisal, striker for National Bank of Egypt, has emerged as a top target for the Sky Blues. The 24-year-old netted 8 goals in 16 Egyptian Premier League matches last season and is also on the radar of both Al Ahly and Zamalek.

Al Ahly are reportedly looking to prioritize local signings for the 2025/26 season and have made Faisal a top priority. However, the fee demanded by his current club could make negotiations difficult. Zamalek, who know the player well from his previous stint with the club, are also said to have opened talks with his representatives.
