Ramadan Sobhi Case Not Over Yet: Egypt Maintains Global Anti-Doping Reputation
The Egyptian Anti Doping Organization EGY NADO's officially denied recent reports suggesting ruling date has been set in the case involving Pyramids FC star Ramadan Sobhi and the Court of Arbitration for Sport CAS.
In statement released on Wednesday, EGY NADO rejected claims that May 19 had been scheduled for CAS verdict in case reportedly filed by the World Anti Doping Agency WADA against both the egyptian body and the player.
Case Still Under Investigation
The authority clarified that the case remains under formal investigation, following legal procedures and regulations set by CAS. Ramadan Sobhi'd previously been temporarily suspended following allegations of doping and sample tampering before the ban was lifted after hearing.
“The case's still ongoing. No final decision has been issued and any information suggesting otherwise is inaccurate” the statement emphasized.
Egypt’s Clean Record Maintained
The organization also dismissed concerns about the impact of the case on egypt’s standing in the global anti doping community:
“Egypt remains among the most compliant national anti doping organizations globally and there're no threats to its anti doping reputation”
They urged the public and media to refer to WADA’s official website for accurate updates and not rely on unverified reports.
