Barcelona prepare to face Inter Milan on Tuesday night in the second leg of the semi-final in Milan after a 3-3 draw in the first leg.

Brazilian striker Raphinha, one of the most important players of the season, spoke about his time with Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez and the Brazilian explained that his time with Xavi was unhappy because he treated him as if he was "unimportant".

From unappreciated to the pinnacle of success!

The 28-year-old Brazilian winger has received a lot of praise for the high and distinctive technical level he is currently presenting with the team under the management of German Hans Flick, Rafinha has become one of the most important players in the team this season, if not the most important of course, contributing more than 55 goals between creating and scoring to be part of the devastating scoring machine he leads with Lewandowski and Lamin Yamal, and to contribute directly to two titles so far (the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup) and their leadership in the Spanish league, and their reaching the semi-finals of this season's UEFA Champions League.

The Brazilian didn't show this kind of performance with the team until the arrival of German Fleck. Previously with Xavi Hernandez, the Brazilian was under-appreciated by the Spanish coach despite having won the La Liga title with the club in the 2022-2023 season following his arrival.

What Raphinha said about Xavi!

Speaking to Isabela Pagliari's YouTube channel, the Brazilian player expressed his sadness at his time under Xavi, saying: “I felt like the coaching staff didn't have any confidence in me, When there was no other [player], I was there and I played 90 minutes. I gave everything I could give and had an impact on games, but when there was another player who could play in my place, they picked them without even thinking about it”.

"I think it was the game against Manchester United [in the Europa League in 2023]. I had done really well. I had scored and set up a goal. I think it was 2-2 and they took me off, I had just created a really good chance. I felt good and was playing well. And I was the first player taken off. I could not believe it".

After such a difficult period for the Brazilian, Maidu should be able to tell the media that it will be a great moral boost for him to do better with Hans Flick in the times to come.
