The Sky Blues' summer transfer window is underway. After wrapping up negotiations with his former club and agreeing personal terms with the player, Manchester City officially announced the arrival of Rayan Aït-Nouri on Monday, June 9 as their first signing of the summer.

"Manchester City is delighted to announce the signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 24-year-old left-back has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, which means he’ll be with the club until the summer of 2030," the English club stated in an official press release. The contract for the 24-year-old Algerian international takes effect immediately, meaning he’ll take part in the Club World Cup with Manchester City from June 15 to July 13, 2025 in the United States.

Rayan Aït-Nouri living the dream

After five years at Wolverhampton, the Algerian international (18 caps) is set for a challenge that already promises to be epic. Coming off an outstanding season statistically — 5 goals and 7 assists in 41 matches across all competitions — Rayan Aït-Nouri arrives at Manchester City as a Premier League reference at left-back. And what could be better than joining Pep Guardiola’s side, renowned for their possession-based play and full-backs who overload the attack, to satisfy the offensive ambitions of the Montreuil native.
