Real Madrid are close to renewing the contract of their star striker despite high offers
Although Saudi Arabia has opened negotiations to sign Vinicius Junior, news reports suggest that Real Madrid wants to negotiate a contract renewal with the Brazilian star.
Vinicius Junior's current contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2027, and according to reports close to the club, the management wants to renew the contract for a few more years with an improvement in the salary situation as well.
However, despite all these confident reports that the process will go well, there are plenty of other reports with different opinions about the Brazilian star's contract renewal process.
As of the beginning of this week, many reports say that Vinicius Jr. has already signed a new five-year contract until the summer of 2030.
The deal isn't done yet
Although the atmosphere is positive to reach an agreement between Real Madrid's Spanish management and the Brazilian star, who certainly dreams of continuing his career at the Whites, SPORT reported that a full agreement has not been reached yet.
Vinicius wants the highest salary in the team, with the Brazilian earning one of the highest salaries in the team and in La Liga at €15 million, just like Judd Billingham and Kylian Mbappe.
According to other news reports, the club has offered Junior €20 million per year, equivalent to €100 million until 2030, which is only €5 million more than the player's current salary.
