Real Madrid: Brahim Diaz injured!
Fresh alarm bells in Madrid! Already missing several key players, Real have suffered another setback with Brahim Diaz ruled out through injury.
The 25-year-old Moroccan international has suffered a lesion to the adductor muscle in his left thigh and will miss Wednesday night's clash against Mallorca (7:30 pm GMT). The club has not specified a date for his return.
This announcement comes on the heels of a double setback: Vinicius Junior, sidelined with a left ankle sprain, and Lucas Vazquez, out due to a muscle injury in his thigh, have also been forced to withdraw.
It's an injury crisis at the “Casa Blanca”!
This string of bad news couldn't have come at a worse time for Los Merengues, who were beaten 4-3 by FC Barcelona on Sunday in El Clasico and now trail the Catalans by 7 points in La Liga with only three games remaining.
The Madrid treatment room just keeps getting busier. The maestro of the Atlas Lions now joins an already staggering list that includes the likes of David Alaba, Camavinga, Militao, Carvajal, Mendy, Rodrygo, Rüdiger, Lunin, as well as the two most recent casualties.
This injury crisis is seriously complicating Real's ambitions as the season draws to a close.
