This injury occurred during the last Clasico against FC Barcelona, won by the Catalans with a score of 3-2, in the Spanish Cup final.
In an official statement, the Madrid club announced that the player underwent knee surgery, which was successful. Real also notes that Rüdiger, who had already been playing while diminished for several months, will soon begin his rehabilitation.
Antonio Rüdiger out for up to 8 weeks!
Furthermore, according to renowned Spanish journalist Arancha Rodríguez, the central defender will be sidelined for a period ranging from six to eight weeks. This means his current season is likely over.
However, he should be ready to compete in the Club World Cup, scheduled in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
