Real Madrid: Vinicius Junior set for extension until 2030
While his current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2027, Vinícius Júnior is on the verge of signing a new deal with Los Blancos. This announcement puts an end to the rumors that have been circulating in the press throughout the season.
Long courted by Saudi clubs, Vinícius Júnior now appears set to extend his stay at Real Madrid. According to reports from the Spanish daily Diario AS, the 24-year-old Madrid winger will put pen to paper on his new contract after the Club World Cup.
Vinicius Junior to earn more than Mbappé
With both parties set to finalize a new agreement—signaling mutual trust—the wages that will be paid to Madrid's number 7 should grant him a new status within the squad, notably as the club's highest-paid player. Local media report that Vinícius Júnior will earn a net salary of 20 million euros per season with his new contract. That’s 5 million more than his current salary, and also 5 million more than Kylian Mbappé. In total, he will collect 100 million euros net over five years.
