Bafana Bafana forward Relebohile Mofokeng made an impact off the bench as Union Saint-Gilloise beat KFC Nijlen 3-0 in the Belgian Cup round of 32.

The 21-year-old attacker entered the fray in the 65th minute, with the defending champions instantly breaking the deadlock four minutes later.

He set-up Besfort Zeneli for the second goal in the 80th minute, before Kamiel van de Perre put the game to bed seven minutes from time.

USG, as a result, will square off against Westerlo in the last-16 of the competition, as they look to retain the only crown they won last season.

Mofokeng, on the other hand, has now taken his tally to four goals and two assists in 12 appearances across all competitions since joining the club.

Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates reportedly pocketed a fee worth in the region of €3.5 million (R64 million) from the player's sale.

His deal at the Brussels-based outfit is set to run until June 2030 and includes an option to extend for a further year.

USG return to action with a Europa League clash against Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Beer Sheva on Thursday, in what will be a home fixture.
