UEFA Champions League: the full Matchday 3 schedule with PSG-Barcelona and Bayern-Arsenal

The Champions League competitions for the 27/26 season resume on Tuesday and Wednesday with the third-matchday fixtures, which feature several high-profile clashes, notably the showdown between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, as well as the matches between Bayern Munich and Arsenal, Liverpool and Villarreal, and Manchester City and AEK Athens.

The duel between Paris and Barcelona has attracted considerable interest given the two teams’ positive results. The French club will look to extend its winning run, while the Spanish side, managed by Hansi Flick, aims to maintain its positive momentum.

Paris Saint-Germain have a psychological advantage after winning the last two meetings between the teams, but the performances of young Catalan star Lamine Yamal and Barcelona’s attacking power mean the match remains open to all possibilities.

In England, Manchester City will face AEK Athens with the aim of bouncing back after their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. There is still uncertainty over the involvement of their Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who could be rested.

Liverpool will host Villarreal at Anfield after their victory over Brentford, while the availability of some of their players remains uncertain because of injuries. Villarreal will approach the match after their European victory over Napoli, despite their difficulties in the Spanish league.
