Champions League: PSG lose Nuno Mendes for Barcelona clash
PSG will be without Nuno Mendes against Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. The Portuguese full-back has suffered an injury.
After coming on in the 53rd minute against Strasbourg on Saturday afternoon, Nuno Mendes left the La Meinau pitch prematurely in the closing moments of the match. According to information from Le Parisien, tests carried out on Sunday morning revealed a muscle injury in one of the Portuguese player's thighs.
The timeframe is considered too short to allow Nuno Mendes to recover in time and be available against Barcelona.
Who will face Lamine Yamal?
With Mendes ruled out, who will replace him? Luis Enrique has several options. Warren Zaïre-Emery, who finished the match in Strasbourg at left-back, represents a credible solution. Signed this summer to serve as Mendes' backup, Lucas Digne nevertheless appears to be the most natural option.

If he starts on Tuesday evening, the Frenchman would thus face Lamine Yamal again, a few months after France-Spain in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup (0-2).
