Return of Walid El Karti and Yahia Attiyat Allah to Wydad: Rumors or Reality?
Wydad / @TFT_Morocco

In recent hours, persistent information has been circulating about negotiations between the management of Wydad Casablanca and several former players to strengthen the team ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Attiyat Allah: An Imminent Return?

According to the Moroccan site "Sport 7", Hicham Ait Menna's management is reportedly in talks with the Russian club Sochi to bring back Moroccan international defender Yahia Attiyat Allah. This move follows rumors about Egypt's Al Ahly deciding not to activate the purchase option for the Moroccan international, further fueling speculation about a return to Wydad.

Wydad Casablanca is looking to secure Attiyat Allah's arrival to bolster their squad for the Club World Cup, especially after disappointment with the performances of Ayoub Bouchta and Zakaria Nassik, who have not fully convinced South African coach Rulani Mokwena.

The Walid El Karti Case: An Improbable Return?

On the other hand, an internal source at Wydad has denied the rumors regarding a return of Walid El Karti, the current midfielder for Pyramids FC in Egypt. According to this source, no negotiations have taken place with the player and the team is currently focused on the battle for second place in the Moroccan championship to return to the African Champions League next season.

It should be noted that El Karti joined Pyramids FC at the start of the 2021/2022 season on a free transfer. Since then, he has played 142 matches with the Egyptian club, scoring 15 goals and providing 28 assists.
