Ronaldo Misses Training, Set to Miss Match

According to Saudi journalist Ali Al Enezi, Ronaldo skipped team training on Saturday and underwent rehab sessions and medical checks at the club’s facility. His absence continued on Sunday and reports confirm that he's now officially ruled out of the game due to injury.

Future at Al Nassr Still Unclear

The 40 year old star's contract expires in Jun 2025 but no official agreement has been reached to extend his stay. Earlier reports from the Daily Mail suggested that stalled negotiations were linked to Al Nassr’s recent dip in results.

Despite the uncertainty, Okaz reported breakthrough in talks. The club's reportedly reached preliminary agreement with Ronaldo for 2 year extension with official announcement expected soon.

High Demands & Internal Reshuffle

Sources claim Ronaldo made specific demands for renewal including revamp of the squad and technical staff. He reportedly requested the release of underperforming foreigners , like goalkeeper Pino & forwards Angelo & Wesley and insisted on retaining key players such as Sadio Mane, Otavio and Brozovic.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with head coach Stefano Pioli, calling for top level european coach and strong sporting director under independent technical committee.

Top Scorer Amid Unrest

Despite the off field drama, Ronaldo remains the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer with 23 goal holding narrow lead over Morocco’s Abderrazak Hamdallah.

Al Nassr currently 4th in the standings with 60 point, trails leaders Al Ittihad by 11 point as the season nears its end.
