Saudi Arabia gives green light for Mohamed Salah
The future of Mohamed Salah continues to stir the football world. Following his statements that left everyone guessing, Saudi Arabia has taken another step toward the Liverpool winger. An internal source from the Public Investment Fund (PIF), interviewed by AFP, confirmed that the kingdom is "closely monitoring Salah's situation," as he is currently sidelined from the squad for the Champions League.
"We believe there is a possibility for a transfer, whether on loan or as a permanent deal," the same source specified,
even though no direct talks have been opened yet with Liverpool.
The PIF, which oversees several major clubs in the Saudi Pro League, is aiming for a swift move as early as January. The Saudi camp is adamant about targeting a player who remains a key figure despite a challenging spell.
"Salah is only 33 years old and still has a lot to offer here. Salah is a football star admired worldwide and would bring a tremendous amount to the Saudi Pro League," the source said,
revealing an interest that extends beyond just PIF-affiliated clubs.
